Week 15: Final Presentation

  Week 15 (10 July - 16 July) This week was the presentation week. On 12th July, we presented our 3 looks. However, I didn’t manage to finish my 3 looks. So, JR and Ms. Melina extended the time for me. During the presentation I received a lot of opinion on my works and my attitude towards this semester. And I appreciated it, and I will make use of this opinion for the better me in the future. So back to the topic, continuing my garments. The next day after the presentation, I finished my look 1 by attaching the lining together with the base. Details on the lining Then, I continue on my look 2 manipulation. Actually, during the presentation, I decided on changing my look 2 and 3 design on the manipulation since there wasn’t enough time. Week 13 - 14: Garment Construction

  Week 13 (26 June - 02 July) Continuing my look 2, I started cutting on the actual fabric this week.  After cutting all the panels, I sewed it all together. Front Look   Back Look I also cut out the lining first. Then sewed it the same way as the base. Week 14 (03 July - 09 July) On 6th July, there was ‘The Show’ fashion show. After the show, I continue on my project. I directly continue on draping my look 3 first on this week. Week 10 - 12: Garment Construction

   Week 10 (05 June - 11 June) On this week, I finished draping my look 1. Below are the pics of the finished draping: Front look Side look Back look During this week’s Wednesday class, JR and I worked together on creating the right measurement for the texture manipulation of look 1. After several times of cutting mahjong paper and measuring, I finally managed to get the right shape of the texture with the help of JR. Below is how the texture shape look like: Then, JR asked me to proceed on creating the rest of the texture on mahjong paper on pin all over the calico according to my design. Next, I sewed all the calico panels together to make sure that the draping is correct. Front look Side look Back look With this, I proceed to cutting all the panels onto mahjong paper.
