Week 15: Final Presentation

 Week 15 (10 July - 16 July)

This week was the presentation week. On 12th July, we presented our 3 looks. However, I didn’t manage to finish my 3 looks. So, JR and Ms. Melina extended the time for me. During the presentation I received a lot of opinion on my works and my attitude towards this semester. And I appreciated it, and I will make use of this opinion for the better me in the future.

So back to the topic, continuing my garments. The next day after the presentation, I finished my look 1 by attaching the lining together with the base.

Then, I continue on my look 2 manipulation.

Actually, during the presentation, I decided on changing my look 2 and 3 design on the manipulation since there wasn’t enough time. So below are the illustration pic for look 2 and 3:

Continuing on look 2, below attached is the manipulation piece:

So, the required pieces in total for garment 2 is 38. It has the same manipulation method as look 1, except I used different color fabric on the both side, one side is brown (the inside) & the other side is yellow (the outside). After cutting all 38 pieces, I started sewing it on the dress base.

After then, I continue on finishing the lining. Below are the details of the lining:

Continuing to look 3, I continue sewing the base panel together.

Then, I started draping the manipulation on the base dress. I cut out the texture on calico and trace it onto the fabric.

The texture manipulation has the same method as look 1 and 2. So basically, I just cut it all out and stick both side fabrics with double sided interfacing. Then, I attached and sewed it onto the base dress.

Lastly, I attached and sewed the lining with the dress.
