During this week’s Wednesday class, JR and I worked together on creating the right measurement for the texture manipulation of look 1.

After several times of cutting mahjong paper and measuring, I finally managed to get the right shape of the texture with the help of JR. Below is how the texture shape look like:

Then, JR asked me to proceed on creating the rest of the texture on mahjong paper on pin all over the calico according to my design.

Next, I sewed all the calico panels together to make sure that the draping is correct.

With this, I proceed to cutting all the panels onto mahjong paper.

After cutting all the panels on mahjong paper, I traced it onto the actual fabric & lining.

Then, I draped the flat collar on the base with calico first.

With this, i continue on the actual fabric. The process:

I cut out 2 panel of the collar and also cut 2 hard interfacing. Next, I stick the interfacing on the fabric and sewed it together as one piece. Then, I sewed the collar on the dress base.

Next, I cut out the manipulation which is 21 pieces in total.

Week 12 (19 June - 25 June)
